Despite the rain giving everyone a true Ireland-and-Scotland golf experience—without the airfare—we had a fantastic turnout this year at Streamsong, with 30 teams competing. Among tough competition, Vulcan Materials Company (Dean Sunas, Matt Hummel, Hunt Lloyd (Superior Construction), and Andy Wilkerson) captured the Challenge Cup with an impressive first-place finish.
During the post-tournament luncheon, FTBA President Dan Hurtado and Anthony Falzarano from Dobbs Equipment LLC presented the Challenge Cup trophy to the winning team, who will proudly display it at their office until next year’s competition.
The CWR Contracting, Inc. team (Chris Riley, Nelson Fleming, Stuart Savoy, and Matt Steele) secured second place, while Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC (Scott Pittman, Andy DeCraene, Dave Cowper, and Matt Horan) earned third.
Special recognition goes to Daniel Grajeda of Central Florida Transport, LLC for Closest to the Hole and Sean Ireland of PRINCE Contracting, LLC for Longest Drive.
A sincere thank-you to all participants and sponsors who supported FTBA’s TransPAC and helped make this year’s event another tremendous success. Your continued involvement strengthens our advocacy efforts for FTBA members and the transportation construction industry.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year—hopefully at Streamsong’s new Bone Valley course!
